Craft Your Journey

Your child is growing into someone new. Your relationship can grow with them.

Your child is growing. So are you.

The conversations get shorter. The arguments get more frequent. The kid who used to tell you everything now answers in shrugs and disappears behind a bedroom door.

For fifteen years, Tanguy has worked as a high school educator in Surrey, spending his days with teenagers as they actually are: forming identities, navigating pressure and deciding who they can trust. His students nicknamed his classroom Group Therapy. He brings that perspective, the teenager's side of the story, into every conversation with fathers.

Sometimes the distance grows before either person realizes it. The good news is that distance is not the same as loss.

What we might explore together

  • Understanding adolescent development and what drives the changes you're seeing.
  • Communication when every conversation feels like a minefield.
  • Independence, boundaries and knowing when to hold on and when to loosen your grip.
  • Social pressures your teenager is navigating that you may not see.
  • Learning to respond rather than react.
  • Rebuilding trust and connection, one honest moment at a time.

The goal isn't to control your teenager or force them to open up. It's to become someone they feel comfortable turning to.

It's not too late to become that person.

Teenagers remember who kept showing up. Not perfectly, but consistently. If you're willing to look at your side of the relationship, there is real ground to regain.
